What is Monthly Mud Club?
Monthly Mud Club is a monthly pottery workshop at Applegate Studios, designed to give you a chance to try something new, get your hands in clay and make time for yourself.
Life can be busy, and it’s easy for a month to disappear without doing something just for you. Mud Club is a chance to step away from the day-to-day, put your phone down, and spend a few hours making, learning and enjoying the process. A little time to reset, get creative and do something different.
Each month, we’ll explore a different pottery project or technique, from hand-building and decorating to slip-casting and glazing. You’ll be guided through the process by Bryony, with demonstrations and step-by-step instruction, so you can enjoy the making without needing previous experience.
Come along on your own, bring a friend, or use it as an opportunity to meet new people who enjoy making things. There’s no need to commit to a course or attend every month, simply book the sessions that interest you.
Your finished pieces will be glazed and fired at the studio, giving you something useful or beautiful to take home and enjoy.
